GAMEPLAY RULES Standard Blazer Tag Rules a) No Running b) No Climbing c) No Physical Contact d) No Unsportsman Like Conduct e) Hold the Phaser with both hands at all times Additional rules a) No kneeling, crawling or lying down. You can squat, bend over and/or crouch b) No jumping. This includes skipping. c) No leaning over railings. When tagging players or GEMs over a railing both heals of your feet must be on the floor. This is for your safety and those who you might fall on. d) No covering sensors or GEMs. This includes flipping the phaser over and placing it against a wall so that it cannot be tagged from a distance. e) No Tracking. This is defined as placing your elbow or any other part of your body in front of an opponent’s laser beam more than once as they move their beam to different sensors of your pack. f) "Arms Length" Rule. You must keep an arms length away from any player who says "Arms Length Please". g) "Pass" Rule. You must let a player pass on bridge if they say "Pass Please". h) No tampering with the equipment or arena. If you attempt to modify Blazer Tag equipment or arena you will be removed from this facility permanently and forever. You will not be given a second chance on this one really. i) Laser Tag pack failures. If your pack intermittently or permanently will not function, go to the ground floor outside the red vesting room door and yell "MARSHAL" for help. Any down time or complete pack failure you experience is bad for your team because there is no resetting the clock, recalculating the score or inserting a substitute. This translates to please take care of our equipment so it will take care of you. There will be NO whining about "but my pack misfired" or "I tagged him but he didn’t deactivate". This is an adult’s game. No babies allowed. Go to Chuck E Cheese if you can’t take it. j) Ejected from a game - We will be enforcing all rules more strictly during league play than during regular play due to the high-energy competitiveness of the game. Blazer Tag’s first priority is everyone’s safety and then to provide the best entertainment for your buck. All rule offenders will be pulled from the game. If it is a major violation, as determined by management and/or the Lead Marshal, Blazer Tag reserves the right to remove you from the building and you will not be allowed to return permanently or for a period of time to be determined solely by Blazer Tag. All offenders will not get their money refunded. The third time you’re removed from a game during league play, you will not be allowed to play until the next league begins. The Lead Marshal on duty at the time will have the FINAL say on who is removed. Complaining a) Pack failures - Pack failures should be reported to a marshal during the game ASAP. Once the game has ended and you have exited the vesting room, you may not complain about your pack, another player or anything else related to that game. When a player complains we will deduct 50% of the points from the next league game they play, regardless of what Division their next game will fall in. b) Player complaints - All complaints about the conduct of another team’s player should be brought to the team captain and discussed inside of the team meeting room only. Part of the captain’s duty is to take these complaints to the captain’s meeting so the behavior can be corrected. We will deduct 50% of the points from each player’s next league game every time they complain outside of the team meeting room. Complaints about previous weeks or games are included. Complaints inside and outside of the building are included. If a captain has determined that a player’s conduct needs to be discussed immediately, then he/she will discuss the situation with the other team’s captain in private or take the issue to the Lead Marshall / Blazer Tag Management. It is the team captain’s responsibility to insure that there is privacy when discussing the issue otherwise the 50% point reduction rule will come into effect. c) Unsportsman-like conduct - If a player exhibits "unsportsman-like conduct" as determined by Blazer Tag Management or the Lead Marshall, they will have 50% of their score deducted from the next league game they play in. Note: We apologize for the "Complaining" rules but many people would like to come and play competitive laser tag without hearing the whining and complaining of others. |
