We've developed these game formats to start easy and become more complex as you grow your team skills.
Every Team Building Event begins with the 5-minute warm-up game. If your group is new to laser tag, follow that with Missions 1 and 2 to develop basic team thinking. Then come back next week and the week after to take on harder challenges.
If your crew is already familiar with laser tag, you might want to begin further down the list with the more advanced missions. Our Event Coordinating Department can help you decide which ones are right for you.
- 5 Minutes
There's no pressure here - just a chance to warm up and get familiar with the equipment and the arena. All players will receive a computerized score card that shows the details of the game.
- Basic team format; No Game Enhancement Modules (GEMs)
The objective is to give newly formed teams a chance to work together without excessive complexity.
- Team format with GEMs
The objective here is for teammates to work together to score more points than the opponents. Utilizing the GEMs to gain stronger firepower, teams will learn to cover each other's backs and see the advantage of securing strongholds in the arena.
- Team format with Invisibility and Invulnerability
Players work with their teams to utilize their resources and "buy" powers, such as Invisibility and Invulnerability, from the Game Enhancement Modules (GEMs). These powers last for a limited time until repurchased.
- Team format with limited ammunition
This format increases complexity because all players begin the game with limited ammo and energy. Teams can work together to gain more resources from the GEMs or choose to spend their resources on powers such as Invisibility or Invulnerability. As in business, you must figure out your priorities and what actions will give your team the greatest return on investment. And, also as in business, if a player exhausts all her resources, she is out of the game.
- Team format with limited ammunition and friendly fire
In this format, teammates must not only make good use of their resources but must also make sure they don't accidentally tag their own teammates and lose points. The computerized score cards will clearly identify those offending teammates.
- Team format with DarkThief and The Business Bonus
This format allows players to obtain a power from a Game Enhancement Module (GEM) that provides a method to "steal" resources from the opponents and use it on The Business Bonus for big points. This game is a blast for those aggressive, ruthless types who love to pilfer the competitors' advantages.
